will like. It has to be simple, I don't cook much. It is a group of 10 to fifteen ladies. It can be dessert or side dish or whatever. Thanks.

  1. I would do a meat, cheeses and crackers platter cant go wrong with that!

  3. Everybody loves banana pudding. I have the best recipe and it is super easy!

    Banana Pudding

    INGREDIENTS

    •1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese

    •1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

    •1 (5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix

    •3 cups cold milk

    •1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    •1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

    •4 bananas, sliced

    •1/2 (12 ounce) package vanilla wafers

    DIRECTIONS

    1.In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Beat in condensed milk, pudding mix, cold milk and vanilla until smooth. Fold in 1/2 of the whipped topping.

    2.Line the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish with vanilla wafers. Arrange sliced bananas evenly over wafers. Spread with pudding mixture. Top with remaining whipped topping. Chill.

  4. Meatballs! Everyone loves meatballs - they always get eaten. Cook them in a crock pot with your choice of sauce (sweet & sour is a favorite of mine).

  6. make a nice shrimp or crab dip and buy fancy water crackers and veggies ...these are easy and good

    shrimp dip-

    2 cans shrimp

    1 small onion, chopped fine

    1 dash Worcestershire sauce

    1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, plus

    1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese

    3/4 cup mayonnaise

    1 teaspoon horseradish

    2 tablespoons ketchup

    2 teaspoons dill weed

    Directions

    1Make one day ahead.

    2Let cream cheese rest at room temperature until soft.

    3Mash all ingredients together (a potato masher works great).

    4Chill before serving, at least one day.

    crab dip -

    8 ounces sour cream

    8 ounces cream cheese

    1/2 cup finely chopped celery

    1/4 cup finely chopped onion

    1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)

    1 lb imitation crabmeat, chunks broken up

    chopped fresh parsley (optional)

    cracker or cut up vegetable

    Directions

    1In small mixer bowl beat sour cream and cream cheese with an electric mixer on low speed until creamy.

    2Stir in celery, onion, and lemon juice, if desired.

    3Fold in crabmeat.

    4Garnish with parsley, if desired.

    5Serve with crackers or cut up veggies

  7. something simple and tasty, jumbalaya 2 boxes zatarrans jumbalaya rice 1 package precooked  polish sausage 1 lb. precooked  peeled and deveined shrimp. sautee sausage and shrimp in 1/2 pd. butter, and garlic pepper,add two cans  strained rotel. stir into cooked rice for a spicey delight.

  8. Ice cream sandwich cake is wonderful and easy.

    you need:

    Approx. two boxes of rectangular ice cream sandwiches

    A jar of hot fudge sundae topping

    Cool whip

    candy bar pieces (crumbled) such as Heath bar or Reese's peanut butter cup or whatever your fancy

    Line the bottom of pan with a layer of ice cream sandwiches.

    Then spread fudge on top

    Then spread whip cream on top

    Layer with another row of ice cream sandwiches.

    Spread fudge on top

    Spread Cool whip on top of fudge

    Then sprinkle with candy.

    You might want to let it set and freeze in the freezer for an hour or so.

If you don't cook much....I would not stress myself on food preparation for a nice luncheon.  You need to look forward to the get together....not what you are going to take.  In that case, I would, depending on what is available to you in your town.....go to the market and check your possibilities.  How about an already prepared fruit plate, shrimp plate, or frozen ice cream cake?  You can take it home and put it on a nice serving plate if you wish....(Put your name on the bottom)......  All done.  Now you can get ready for your socializing with your friends.  Don't worry....it is easy........take care.

  12. This is a great dessert for a ladies potluck.  It is really pretty and is nice and refreshing for the summer.

    Strawberry Pizza

    Crust

    2 sticks butter

    1 cup brown sugar

    1 1/2 cups flour (I use self-rising)

    1 cup chopped pecans

    Mix flour and sugar, cut in butter. Add pecans. Press into 12 inch pizza pan. Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 400.

    Filling

    1 cup powdered sugar

    8 oz. Cream cheese

    12 oz. Cool Whip

    Mix well and spread on cooled crust.

    Topping

    1 pt. Strawberries, sliced

    1 jar strawberry glaze

    Spread strawberries on top of filling. Spread glaze over top. Chill before serving.
