I recently attended my friend's hen party and we all dressed up in a pirate theme. Sounds a bit odd, but actually was a lot of fun. The hen herself was more of a keira knightley type character, with a corset, and the rest of us were various levels of pirates from just a hat to the full captain hook garb, inc hook.  We got to run around with plastic swords and say arghhh a lot! definitely recommend it!

round our way it seems that most hen parties try and wear as little as possible...!

The one I like is dress up as something from the decade of the bride-to-be's birth (ie: Hippies for 1960's, Punks from the 80's etc). So have, say a general '1980's' theme or something
