I am going a cruise to Cozymel Mexico...?

we do not want to do a shore excursion because they never really live up to what I think they will be. We are looking for something cool to do, but we will only be there from 9am to 5pm. What is your favorite thing to do in Cozymel?

Snorkeling and shopping. When you get off the ship, there will be several people offering you tours right there. So you can choose one of these. The main thing to remember is to not be late getting back to the ship because it will not wait for you and I have seen someone miss the ship on every cruise I have been on.

It's a small island without much to do if you don't take a tour or go to something.  There is a flamingo natural area, two ruins sites, swimming with the dolphin pool and it's next to a park. You have to pay to get in at all of these places.   We thought it was a rip paying to get in the park, if you go on the other side of the dolphin pool, you can see the same thing snorkeling that's in the park!  We didn't pay to get in the Flamingo Area.  They do have horseback riding available somewhere.  Nothing is that close to the dock area, but you will be able to walk to some shops from the ship.  We had a blast renting a scooter and riding around the island.  On the other side of the island you can be on the beach by yourself with nothing but sand as far as you can walk out and the waves are on that side.  We mostly enjoyed snorkeling off the shore just down from the dolphin pool.
