I am going egypt cairo in one weeks time and satying in Nasr city, Makram obeid street is it safe?

is the area populated, is it close to malls and resturants and how far is it from mohandessin gamet dowl alaraby street

totally!!anywhere there is safe..it is populated yes, and there are alot of malls there 'city stars' is the most famous and largest and in most malls there are food courts and restaurants...it's maximum an hour away 'if there's a car jam' from mohandesein "oraby st."..if not you'll take like 20 min.

Makram ebeid street is one of the largest streets of Nasr city, it has a mall in the begigng called CITY CENTER , it has KFC and HARDEE'S and Cafes.

in the end it as a mall caled AL SERAG CITY MALL, its a large one with many cafes and it has MCDONALD'S and lebeness restaurent and a hyper market..

and yes its SAFE... all EGYPT is SAFE.

and its about 20 km from  gamet dowl alaraby street,

about 45 min to 1 hour depending on te traffic.

near Makram ebeid street there is a street called Abas EL Akkad , its parareel to it and as many shops, clotes and shoes, resturants, cafes, mall.. its a shopping area..

Yes it is safe. Do not worry at all. It is a populated street and it is close to many malls. The best mall in the area is called City Stars. It is large, nice, has many shops, coffee shops, restaurants and cinemas. In the fifth floor there is what is called Khan el Khalili bazzar. It has all the typical handicrafts that can be found in the famous Khan el Khalili area which attracts many people for souvenirs and gifts. It is not more expensive that the original one.

This are is far from Mohandessin. But all is still in Cairo. A taxi can make it in 45 minutes. Have a nice time.
