crickets?  earthworms?  for stripers....

I'd scrape together a few bucks and go out and get a couple of bucktails.  They're cheap..or some larger saltwater spoons....

if you live in a wooded area, or at least have a grassy backyard, lay a blanket outside at evening, the next morning get a container and catch all the crickets you can under the blanket.
