  1. You can do  a little bit of exploring in 3 days

Check the Le Lo Lai tours at this  sites

    www.welcome.topuertorico.org

    www.gotopuertorico.com

  2. If you are going to stay in San Juan check this site for what to so infoa nd where to eat http://www.holapuertorico.com

  3. Go to the Old San Juan area o the city and see all of the wonderful colonial period buildings and experience the European culture of the island there. There is also tons of shopping to be done, and while you're at it, you should probably take a trip to the beach and pick up some Passion Fruit ice cream from the carters that sell them there.

    =)

  4. In my opinion, with that amount of time, you would be able to get a flavor of Puerto Rico.

Many people come here for long weekends, it's one of the most popular destainations for folks in the US as 'no passport' is required.

    Some must see's:

Old San Juan - you can easily spend a day here (but you could still see plenty in half a day):

2 forts (El Morro and San Cristobel)

    Several museums

    Several squares

Lots of great architecture (spanish colonial style)

    plenty of great restaurants

    El Yunque rainforest

Get there early and hike the trail to the waterfall - spend the afternoon at Luquillo beach and then do an evening bio-bay tour from Fajardo

Ponce is the main city on the south coast and is worth a trip

If you had more time, you could do a day trip to Vieques or Culebra islands (especially if you love quiet and great beaches)

    also

spending some time on the west coast at Rincon or Cabo Roja, would also give you another perspective of Puerto Rico - this area is much quieter than San Juan and more relaxed.

Others have said you need more time, but if you only have 3 nights and 4 days, you should still keep Puerto Rico on your list, as you could still enjoy the island with that amount of time.
