  1. You want to be the efficient, organised and friendly face to welcome people to an organisation. You feel you've got the ability to be both welcoming and informative. Your skills are in communication, whether it be verbally, typing or body language.

  2. Well, a good way to present this is that you feel you have good social, and memory skills, and that you would like to put them to use in an environment that you would enjoy to work in :)

I hope my information helps :)

  3. I actually interviewed receptionists for the office where I work a few months ago. One candidate said that she would like to gain some work experience in general, and put her organizational skills to use. I thought that was a good answer - it's not a professional job really, or a career - so that question won't be very important. Good luck!

  4. Because you feel it could greatly improve skills needed to advance in a good and secure career, now help me http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

  5. Like meeting new people, friendly, outgoing,

  6. I'm actually a receptionistt / administrative assistant. Answering phones is not all that.

The only cool part of my job is scheduling flights for the director, and maintaining her calendar.

I guess you could pretend to enjoy the fact that you get to communicate with different people each day and help them get directed to the person with the most interesting job there!

    Good luck

  7. Say you enjoy being involved with the public and that your social skills are one of your advantages. Say you like to communicate with other people and aren't shy. It's quite a tricky thing to come up with ideas for but hope I helped :D, also say that you like to be organised and being a receptionist you would need to be organised.

  8. Tell the boss you fancy him..............job done baby when can you start.

  9. Just tell them you enjoy interaction with the public and helping people out. Explain that you are a people person and are able to communicate well with others.

  10. im not a receptionist but my job most of the time juggles the same responsibilities and i love my job. tell them you love to multi-task. that you are good with people and with computers. it kind of depends on where you are applying to. who are you going to be a receptionist for? express interest in the company as a whole...and there is a way to turn the question around on them. go with the intention of interviewing them as well. tell them how qualified you are and ask them what they have to offer you and why you should be interested. they will not only be impressed by that professional attitude, but it will take the pressure off your answer. good luck!

  11. I am a receptionist.  I love to talk to the public.  I enjoy helping the entire office stay organized with their voice mail, copies, and fed-exes, etc.  I am the first point of contact for every phone call and visitor.  I am pleasant and being a receptionist keeps me busy and the days go by quickly.

  12. Yeah, just laugh it off and move on with your life
