Question:

I am going for an internship interview at the zoo; what should I wear?

My mother suggested I wear a skirt and blouse- I think this is too fancy for the zoo, even if this is an internship.

Would nice jeans and a "fancy" shirt work fine? What about shoes? Low high-heeled shoes goes good with the outfit, but would it be appropriate for a zoo interview?

  1. Hard to say without knowing the position you're interning for.  If it's for animal care, then wear appropriate attire for the position.  Heels and blouse are not really appropriate for swimming with elephants!  They may have you demonstrate skills as part of the interview., and that would be awkward in heels.

Keep conservative in anything you choose.  No big jewelry or make-up, solid color pastels or earth tones.

  2. all camaflouge,

dress like your ready to jum in with the animals but no be seen.

  3. you should wear the same interview-approprite clothing as you would anywhere else. once you get the position you can abide by their likely casual dress code.
