I am going in the 8th grade and afraid to make friends?

in grade 7 i only had a few friends and was not very social. mostly everyone else got to know everyone else in my school. i am now going into grade 8 and i only had 5 close friends and i only talked to 1 this summer.how can i make friends when everyone already has friends to hang out with?

Don't worry just talk a lot and it all goes by naturally.

Who is your one good friend friends with?  Whoever they talk to, get to know them as well when your friend is there.  Also if you talk to your other four close friends at school this year, talk to them and sit with them at lunch and get to know their friends as well.  You can always make new friends by complimenting other people in class and getting to know them.  Ask them about their schedule.  If there are any new girls, get to know them and make them feel better.  Join a club...that always helps.  Goodluck :D

do not be afraid as in 7th you had good friends ,in 8th also you will have good friends.behave good and have good friends.

My dear, you don't need to hang around with every person.

Socializing is good but It is better to be alone than to have bad company that can effect your studies and achievment.

Say hello everyone but choose your friends carefully. Just be yourself and try to be good in most of school activities and studies.

You will automatically have people around to chose as a friend.

School life is building block of our whole life.so don't let it be disrupted of anything.

Love youself and let others respect and love you.
