This is the first time I've been considering bringing my clubs on a plane. Is it worth it for 4 days? I was wondering what some benefits are and some setbacks. Some people I have been talking too say it's not a great idea but i wanted to see what you guys think

  1. Rent them there.  That way you have less to lug around.

  2. depends how good you are

if your awesome and you have beast *** clubs you might want to,

but i would just rent some

  3. If you have a nice set of clubs you enjoy playing with, of course you should take them with you. If you have some junk set you bought at Big 5 or somewhere else that's not particularly nice, then I don't think it matters if you just use rented clubs.

  4. For just 4 days don't pack your clubs. Almost all courses have better than average clubs for rental.

  5. Take them...I always play better with my sticks.

Be careful with United, you can only check one bag starting May 1...all golfers should fly someone else...

4 days = 4 rounds x $30 (min) = $120...$120 you could've spent on a lesson or two or a really nice round of golf.

  6. www.flgolf.info

  7. I will for the most part agree with everyone else.

If you love your clubs then take them with you, but MAKE SURE YOU DON'T LOCK your hard case your clubs are in.

They will break the lock and most times the case itself, just to see whats inside.

And even then, i've heard of the cases being damaged on a regular basis.  Pay premium and get a really nice hard case, so it'll handle the abuse.

  8. I really like the idea of renting clubs. Usually top of the line are offered and I think it would add to the "holiday feel."

You should play quite loose and relaxed. Packing light is also a plus.

  9. Just for four days, I would rent clubs.  They are not that expensive and will save you the hassle of checking in your clubs at the airport.

  10. I always travel with my clubs if I know that there is a chance that I will need them. I rented clubs one time and got a real bad used set. Take them with you.
