I am going on a carnival cruise to puerto rico off the freedom what are some good shore excersions?

Puerto Rico is the armpit of the carribean.  save your time and money and don't bother getting off the ship for this port of call.    you will probably arrive in the evening depart late at night if your cruise is from FL.   you can't see the rain forest in the PM.   the rain forest is overated anyway.  it's a very poor , sleazy  place.  it's too much for me to fly in there .   i'll fly hours to avoid it.  i  HATE PR.

San Juan: If you haven't been there before I would suggest taking the El Yunque Rain Forest Tour. It's about a 45 minute ride from the port. This is a tropical forest and bird santuary in a mountainour area of Puerto Rico. Trails to walk and get a first hand look at everything. It's one of the largest rain forest in the US forest service system. Many first timers also go to the Barcardi Rum factory which I suppose is a "must do" when visiting Old San Juan. Hope that helps.

I assume you are taking the 7 days cruise to all the other nice Islands!If so, the best Island to visit will be Aruba, in in St.Thomas, take the Island Tour very nice will take you to the TOP of the Mountain with a beautifull scenery.In Barbados you should go to the Waterfall, very nice Tour!
