Bring warm clothes, dress in layers, as the temperature can change quickly.  

Money for gifts and shore excursions!!  Is it beautiful.  Take the Float Plane ride over the glaciers - it is amazing.  We just got back - went on NCL last month.  Fabulous!!

I went last summer and the best advice I can give you is to check out this website and read the bulletin board. There is so much info and it would take pages here to really prepare you. Not that you need to actually take that much...it's just that if you are like me you want to be prepared.

One note - This was one of the best vacations I have been on. I agree with the person who suggested the floatplane. We took it in Juneau and it was unbelievable and worth every penny.
