I am going on a flight in a couple of weeks for the first time since all the terror etc, just wanted 2 ask :-?

Question

1. Can i take an body spray/deodrant in my hand luggage

2. I have a titanium naval piercing and nervous about setting alarms off.. what are the chances?

3. Can i take spare AAA batteries for my camera in my hand luggage as well as phone chargers?

4. Can i listen to my ipod during the flight?

Any help will be greatly appreciated x

1.) All Deodrant (Roll On), Creams Etc have to be under 100ml And in a clear plastic bag. I Don't think you can take spray deodrant on. Only in your suitcase.

2.) Piercings Should be fine as soo many people have them! And If the alarm does go off just point it out even though they still will search you and they may select random people to search. So don't be worried.

3.) I'd put your batterys and charger into your suitcase! You won't need it on the flight as they will be switched off well your phone, you may want to use your camera. But if you really want to take them in your hand luggage ask at the desk when you put you check in then if your not you can quickly put it into your suitcase.

I think it should be ok to take on, but i'd put it in my suitcase to be honest.

4.) Yes, you can listen to you i-pod but for take off and landing it must be off with your headphones out of your ears. Once the seat belt sign is off you can use it!

2. If you can, remove the belly ring before the security checkpoint. You can put it back in when you have cleared security.

4. Yes, after passing 10,000 feet during your aircraft's climb, at which point the flight crew will notify you. You may also bring the iPod through security in a checked bag or your personal item.

2. i had my tongue piercing in and that set none off :)

1 - you cant take aerosols in your hand luggage only checked bags

2 - it might set the alarms off but they will use a wand and find it so dont worry

3 - You can take batteries and chargers in your hand luggage

4 - Yes you can listen to your ipod. They will tell you when to turn it off
