I am going on a long car trip and i am going to pack stuff for in the car what should i pack?

me and my family are going to virginia beach and it is 9 hours there and i want to pack a bag for in the car so what should i pack?

that's not that long  - a small bag with stuff to keep you busy place it between you and other siblings as a divider. try planning the route with the map. time goes by faster if you know where you are

my family does the same thing.

heres my list of things i bring

1. water and snacks

2. ipod, cd player, etc.

3. portable dvd player (worth the $$ if you travel often)

4. a book (only if you dont get car sick)

5. a coloring book with colored pencils

6. blankets and pillows (to be comfy)

7. wear sweatpants or comfy shorts

8. i reccomend gum too becuz being trapped in a car will really be less annoying if your breath doesnt reek

9. try to fall asleep, it goes by soo much quicker if your asleep.

10. good luck, ive been in the car for 16 hrs straight (well we did have bathroom breaks) but its really not that bad as long as you sleep and keep yourself busy

To avoid food illnesses, I would include a lot of peanut butter. A good protein source and the lower fat products are tasty as the "real thing."  Other than milk, I don't think Va. Beach has higher prices than most areas of the country.  My emphasis would be to avoid diary products in my bag.
