  1. I recommend exploring Cusco by Peter frost, frommers for good restaurants and hotels information (for standar services) and for backpackers lonely planet.

    http://www.southamericamyjourney.com

  2. Try to contact "iperu", Peruvian Government free information and assitance service:

    email: iperuiquitos@promperu.gob.pe

    24 hours/phone: (51 1) 574-8000 (phone based in Lima).

Therefore, you cant contact personally, 'cause Iperu have offices in airports and downtown at most main cities.

They will give you neutral suggestions and information about Peru attractives and destinations, recommended services (accomodations, travel agencies, travel by your own...), activities, times, referrencial prices, routes and all you need to plan your travel...

They are protection tourist office too, so they will give assistance with troubles in all over Peru (example: contact your embassy...)

Feel free to contact them, they speak English and are very helpful... They will be your friends while you be in Peru.

  3. what type of trek do you want to do?

we have done lares and ausangate

    did them via www.sunriseperu.com
