I am going on the NYE cruise to Santander, what is the weather like in Spain at that time of year?

I am from Australia so not sure about the ideal clothing for a cruise in Winter? Will I be able to shop for winter clothing in Spain (Santander) any suggestions would be great. Also is it a good cruise for NYE? BTW I am a 40+ female, a little like my picture! Thanks in advance for your replies.
