I am not sure how to get large items home--hate to bypass a good deal--do sellers have a way to help to deliver via mail? Anyone have any info? Thanks

  1. I've gone to this event twice. It's really fun. I hate to say it, but I didn't see/hear any offers to help people get things home. Most of the sellers are not professionals, just regular people, many who are just set up under those canopy things that are like tents without sides. However, that may depend on what stretch of the road you travel. On the other hand, I don't remember seeing very many really large things that would present a problem (unless you maybe have a very small car?).  I just take my SUV and don't buy anything that I can't fit inside.

If you go on Friday or Saturday you may be able to stop at a post office or UPS store in a town(s) along the route and ship some stuff yourself.

  2. You could always rent a small U-haul trailer for the weekend (or duration of your trip).  I'd suggest taking some old blankets, or getting some 'moving' blankets with the trailer to help pad items, and a few ratchet straps or rope, to help secure items in the trailer.

If you ask a seller to ship an item, you should expect to pay extra for the service.... not only for the shipping fee, but also packaging.  And common carriers do have limits on the size of the items they will ship.  For large items, like furniture, you'd have to turn to freight carriers, AND, you'd have to crate the item.

I'd seriously consider renting a small enclosed trailer, or at least reserving one near the event.  Take one with you, or reserve it ahead of time, don't wait til you get there to try to find one, hehehe.

    Good Luck
