I am going to Alton towers soon by train. but i do not know exactly how to get there.?

i know that i will have to get off at Stoke-on-trent which is the closest station to Alton towers. what station do i go to, to get the train to Alton Towers from london?

catch a train to stoke station then

catch a taxi from stoke and go to hanley bus station

and catch the alton towers bus

it will take you and pick you up from there back to hanley bus station.
