To Mendoza but I will be stuck in the Santiago airport for 7 hours. I am in my second year of Spanish, and my first time going to a Spanish-speaking country. Is there any airport Spanish that I will need to know? Also, what can I do for 7 hrs in an airport?

  1. Santiago airport is a modern terminal, but, not much to do there for 7 hours.

Go to the free shop, eat something, and watch the airplanes.

The southern part of LAtin america (Chile, Argentina,Uruguay) is very different from what most americans are used to (Mexico, Caribbean,Central amrica).

People are very educated, more european, very friendly and alway willing to help tourists.

Right now Argentina is a hot spot (in terms of tourism), so, I'm sure you'll find people from all around the world. and in every major city you'll find people who speaks english.

    Have fun!

  2. Take with you your laptop ( if you have one) becuase when you are in the internet, the time goes fast and then you can use a spanish chat to learn new things in spanish.

    Good Luck!!!
