I'm not sure what hours would be really busy?? I'd like to be in NY by about 3 o'clock so what time would I need to leave Boston at?

  1. don't take the china town bus. i really don't like the grayhound either, so check out the bolt bus or the mega bus. both are under $20 each way and can be as cheap as $1...really. they all take about 4.5 hours 80% of the time (unless you take the china town bus...they speed). so if i were you i'd leave around 10. also, make sure you book your tickets online and as early as possible!

  2. just avoid rush hour (between 6 and 9:30 AM and 4 and 7 PM). You will be fine.

Take the Accela (not sure if I spelled it right) Train from South Station if you dont want to worry about traffice, otherwise take a bus.

They leave pretty regularly from South Station. Give yourself about 4 hours, maybe 4.5. so Leave no later than 11 to get there at 3.

If you have a car and are driving leave at that same time.

If you are going on the weekend, then you have  a little more flexibility.

  3. Try greyhound, bus leaves Boston at 11:00am and get to NY at 3:30pm. Fares around $43. Not sure if there is a really busy time though.
