  1. when you arrive you can buy one at the airport if you intend to leave the resort or its free if you dont . i think they work out at about £18

  2. You have to go yourself to the Egyptian Consulate in London.

They will need your passport , a couple of photographs and a fee - not sure wht that is currently.

They usually process visas within 24 hours but that depends how busy they are.

They are very helpful so give them a call.

If you can show them your tickets it will help.

  3. There are three types of Egyptian visa:

Tourist Visa: is usually valid for a period not exceeding three months and granted on either single or multiple entry basis.

Entry Visa: is required for any foreigner arriving in Egypt for purposes other than tourism, e.g. work, study, etc. The possession of a valid Entry Visa is needed to complete the residence procedure in Egypt.

    Transit Visa.

  4. Hi there, you have two options to get a visa to visit Egypt.

You can apply to the Egyptian Embassy in London, you fill in a form (which is available on their website) and then send the fee in with two photographs and your passport, this can take up to three weeks.

Your alternative is to buy a visa at the airport in Egypt when you land. There is usually a queue, but sometimes its not too bad.

Good luck and enjoy your trip to Egypt.

  5. Egypt is one of those countries that you can get the visa form its airport, I go there every year to dive in the Red Sea and they give me the visa in the airport and you pay something like $ 7 no problems at all, I'm British, have a nice time.

  6. it depend on where you are going, if you go to the Sinai peninsular you do not need a visa as long as you intend to stay in Sinai and not go outside. if you are intending to leave the peninsula then you must buy your visa on arrival. If you buy your visa on arrival in the airport its cheaper, than sending to the embassy it will  cost about £10 maybe £15. depends on exchange rate. Give a £10 note for each passport to the bank kiosk inside the arrival lounge, they will then put the visa in your passport and you go through customs control. You will receive a small amount of change in Egyptian money. You will also be expected to fill in an immigration form which they will give you one on the flight. You can also change money in the airport at these banks too.

where as if you send oft it, it will cost nearer £25.

i travel to Egypt regularly and this information was correct in April when i last went and i doubt its changed since then.

  7. Hi.... no need to worry about this you DO NOT need to go to the embassy here in London.... you get your visa on arrival at the airport in Egypt! The only reason you would need to go to the  embassy is if you were planning to stay longer than 3months.

    Have a great holiday!!!
