I am going to Guardvata or something like that in Cuba- saw some bad reviews of the Occidental due to spiders?

I've never had any bad experiences with spiders in Cuba...most people I know haven't either. Maybe those reviews were from people on ground floor rooms.

If for any reason you're not comfortable and unsure, then book at another resort. But just about every resort I know in Cuba takes excellent care to protect against major insect problems. They always spray in the evenings for mosquitos and the like. Spiders haven't seemed to be any big deal in Cuba. I really wouldn't be too concerned about it.

Don't forget, many reviews are not always reliable either. If you listen to everything you'll never end up going anywhere lol. Cuba is a beautiful place to go and I'm sure you will have an awesome time there.

I checked out some of the reviews at this link and they were rather positive, also saying that it's spotless and clean. The resort is rated as a 4-4.5*...that is excellent quality in Cuba.
