  1. September, simply because the weather in Ireland operates by Murphy's Law, and the chances are it will be really nice and sunny then. Plus the tourist high season will be over.

Dublin is nice to visit for a day or two, but for the real Ireland, head west and/or south.

  2. Must go to Dublin and Belfast! They both have great pubs and loads of places to visit! If your staying in one then you can easily get a train or coach to the other!  It'll be busy in october around halloween and very cold in november so september or august. You can venture out of belfast to see the land etc! Dublin is great too!

  3. Come in September. August is more expensive and there are more tourist, October and November can be cold and wet and days are shorter.

Don't miss Dublin because it's Dublin, Kilkenny for the pubs and history, Cork because it's the best city in Ireland, Blarney for the castle and to kiss the stone, West Cork for beautiful beaches and landscapes, food and quaint pubs, Killarney for the lakes, the coast of Kerry for the landscape and history, Galway for the nightlife (and the rain!). When you get here talk to people and you'll find out places where the locals go and things to do that might not be on your guidebook.

  4. I think August or September would be best as the weather would be better then.

  5. September's a good month.  The weather is often beautiful the first few weeks.  Although, being Ireland, that's not guaranteed!  The kids are back at school, so places you visit are not as busy. I live in Belfast- it's well worth a visit these days.  Other sights: the Giant's Causeway on the North coast.  Someone else mentioned Newgrange; it's amazing.  County Clare with the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. http://www.discoverireland.ie and http://www.discovernorthernireland.com might give you some ideas too!

  6. The best time to visit ireland would be around september... I would recommend to visit places outside of dublin or my other half does... His irish

  7. August will be good, less traffic on the roads and warmer.

Be sure to visit Newgrange in county Meath....a fine example of 3-thousand year-old Irish engineering.
