  1. Nepal is very beautiful country in the World. Thousand of European tourist Visits Nepal every Year for trekking & Expedition in this paradise Country. You do not have to worry about food in Nepal. There are plenty of restaurants which offer you very best food. I would like to recommend some restaurant in Kathmandu which is really good. For Steak you can go Everest Steak House ( Chhetrapati), Road house café for best Pizza, Fire & ice, Rom Doodle, Kilo Rose  and many More…..

Don’t forget to try MO.MO. For Nepali Typical food you can go Nepali Chulo or Kathmandu Kitchen. I been Nepal many times & had really very good food over there. Mountain Sherpa trekking & Expedition provided me very special Service & I am really happy to refer that company for anyone who interested to go there. for more information you can log on: http://www.guidenepal.com

  2. The food in Nepal is great! I think they have a lot of cheap resturants too, so cost shouldn't be a problem.

Oh and when you go to Kathmandu, don't forget to go to this place called "Naglo" in Durbar square (i think). That place was my personal favorite when i was there.

  3. The local food of Nepal consists of many things. The main dish is of rice (Bhat), lentils (Daal) and vegetables or meat. Hot, salty, sour pickle is a part of dish for taste. Sometimes it is wheat flour bread (roti or chapati) along with rice or in substitute of rice. Nepalese use mild to strong spices and red chilli in vegetables and meat. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian dish are same except meat which is serve in separate bowl. In Kathmandu, meat is usually of chicken, goat or buffalo. Depending upon the location and type of restaurant the price varies. The cost in an average restaurant for normal lunch or dinner (usually the content of Nepalese lunch and dinner is same, main dish as stated above) is NRs 100-250 (extra 50 to 100 for meat products). The food tastes like Indian or Mexican. Many foreigner like and praise Nepali food for the taste and energy balance.

There are some restaurants with typical Nepali food for tourists and they serve special vegetable items, local rice and local beverages prepared in typical Nepali style which may cost from Rs. 500-1000

  4. Most of the Nepal's food are similar to Indian food. They are spicy and made with lots of spices and are really good.

The foods there are really cheap. In some small restaurants, you can fill your tummy with yummy food for like just 60 rupees and

60 rupees=$1. Just imagine, for 1 US dollar, you could get food of your choice. Where else can you get food of your choice and as much as you want for $1?

  5. It depend's on your choice. You can get local Nepalese food like Daal ( Pulse) , Bhaat (Rice), Tarkari ( Mixed Vegitable) Achar ( Pickle) These will cost you about 40 to 100 Rupees. But if you wanna take foriegn country food in Nepal it varies place to place.

  6. food costs in Nepal for Local food (bhat, daal, and vegetables & or meat items) can cost various depending upon where you choose to eat. If you are going to normal restaurants Kathmandu (most likely to the popular tourist destination area called Thamel) the food price is quite cheap. There are high end hotels & restaurants if you choose of course.

You can also try what is known as "Thakali food" if you are in Thamel of Kathmandu. This includes the normal daal bhat as well as other various items you can choose.

Then there is also the typical Newari cuisine you can try in Newari restaurants. These include spicy food such as "bara", "yomari", "Chatamari" and other spicy meat items.

In most places you can get quite a lot to try and eat at a few hundred rupees or a few dollars. (Currently 1 USD is about 70 rupees)

    Welcome to Kathmandu!

  7. If you love to eat spicy food, you can have them there in Nepal, too.  Just simply eat a little of their dishes to slowly introduce them to you stomach.  Spicy food can strengthen your veins.  Just eat spicy ones only twice or thrice a week.

    GOD BLESS YOUR TRIP!!!!!!
