I hear some top brit musicians were not alloed to preform in the US b/c they didn't get visas, etc. Check with customs before leaving.

I went this Jan. and it got cold so none of the pools were open.

You should be ok. The cut off is 6 months before the expiration date.

Yes that is fine but from January 1st you need an ESTA  as well as the Visa Waiver Form this must be filled in at least 72 Hours prior to travel

Yes, you have plenty of time.  Enjoy your stay and don't gamble too much.  There are a lot of things to do in Vegas other than gamble.  Make sure you go to Fremont St. also.  The Vegas strip is nice, but it's good to get off it and down to the old part of Vegas.
