  1. Absoutely YES at all times.  That little book is just like your social security number.  You do not want anyone other than yourself to get ahold of that.  If an emergency should arise, you can use at the US Embassy.

  2. Yes, your passport is your ID when you travel abroad.  You should also make 2 photocopies.  Take one copy with you, in the case you lose your passport, and leave the other at home with a family member who could fax it to you - if needed.

    Have a wonderful trip!

  3. YES!! I've just came back from Zurich - Paris - Milan i travel by train, there were immigration officers  checking the passport of every passengers when the tgv enters italy, & don't loose your train tickets, it was inspected 4 times,

  4. I would suggest you carry your passport while being in London, Paris, and Amsterdam. Once back to Hamberg, North Dacota, you probably will not be required to carry your passport with you.

  5. Yes at all times! You never know when the local police may think you look suspicious! Always have it handy at border crossings! THey check it at all border control stops!

Get a pacsafe.com money belt, that you wear under your clothes! Its not that uncomfortable but will save you so much time, money and tears if you were to have it stolen from your regular luggage.

Also take photocopies of your pass port and keep separate to your actual passport!

you will be fine. travelling is great! just be sensible!
