I have read that such tours exist which take you out to Isla Holborn just of the Yucatan penninsula. Has anyone done this and can you tell me how I am best organising this and how much it might cost?

  1. Contact Ben Mooney from Mayan Aqua Dive, he does a fantastic tour with the Whale Sharks, I send all of my clients to him, as his company isn't the Cattle Market that so many other companies have become. Ben is British  and knows his stuff when it come to any type of Diving around Cancun, Playa, Cozumel and the Cenotes. benrmooney@yahoo.co.uk

    or visit www.mayanaquadive.com

    Hope this helps

  2. I think you mean Isla Holbox.(pronounced Hole Bush)There are whale shark watching tours in the summer from both Isla Holbox and also from Isla Mujeres.Isla Holbox is a little further away from Playa del Carmen. Both are small islands, but either are worth your time to visit.Below are a couple of links to give you an idea of what is available. If you have already reserved a hotel you can check with them or you can make your own arrangements on line before you go.The tour prices can vary significantly depending on many things..take a few minutes and do some preliminary research to see all your options before you commit to anything...Have a great trip!
