I am going to Mexico for honeymoon, the Dept. of State website says I just need a Drivers Lisence to get there

Is this true? They have some acronym for it on their website. Like western hemisphere ... something. And it says I just need a Driver's License to go, I am checking to see if this is what it means?

No, what it says is that if you are travelling by LAND or SEA you need a photo I.D. ( like a drivers li.) "along with" a proof of citizenshhip...EITHER a passport OR a birth certificate.  It also says that if you are FLYING you must have a PASSPORT...no exceptions.
