  1. It would help to know where you're going... Mexico's a huge country with all kinds of geographic variations. So here are the options:

BEACH/COAST: If you're sticking to the coast, it'll be comfortably warm - you should be able to wear shorts and t-shirts/tank tops during the day, but plan on long pants and light sweaters at night. (check out weather.com for the 10-day forecast before you go.) And yes, sunscreen if your skin is the kinds that needs it.

INTERIOR CITIES: If you're going into the interior at all - say Mexico City or Guadalajara, it'll be cool to cold. So long pants, shirts and layered sweaters, plus a light jacket for the nights. (By the way, don't wear shorts in the non-coastal cities - nothing will paint you more quickly as "American tourist" than that.) The air is thin with little humidity in Mexico City, so plan on taking your lotion and handcream.

MOUNTAINS/DESERT: And if you're going into the mountains or desert - Puebla Michoacan, Sonora, or even the mountains of Baja California - it'll be straight up cold. Take a coat, hat and maybe even gloves. It can snow in these places, no joke.

    Have fun!

  2. Get yourself a small pocket Spanish book, that will help.  Most larger towns speak some english... or perhaps a cassette or dvd you can put in your car radio and practice until your trip.. you can drive and learn spanish at the same time.  That really  helped me.

Sleeveless and shortsleeve tops, bathing suits, shorts.. it will be 80 plus.. most of the time.  We have been there maybe 6 times, never wore a jacket yet. Maybe some capri pants for evening, if you are close to the water. If not.. shorts will be fine.  It's quite casual on the most part.

  3. What part?

  4. How are you. Where is a restaurant? I'm thirsty.Where do I find bottle water? How long have you live here? Do you go to school? I would bring a little of both and a jacket and a sweater. It's better to be prepared. Take sun glasses too. Have fun.
