I live in and like Acapulco but just got back from Ixtapa and MAN is it fantastic.......

in México you´ll find a lot of places for vacations, but depends what do you want really.

you have beautiful cities, like Zacatecas, Guadalajara, Oaxaca, San Cristobal in Chiapas, Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, Morelia....; if you want beaches, Los Cabos, Cancun and Puerto Vallarta ( Punta Mita ) are de best, close Mexico city... Acapulco is an option, but there are more like Ixtapa, Manzanillo, Huatulco, Mazatlán, Veracruz, etc...

Currently there are direct flights from some USA cities to some of these cities.

Make the better plan for your holidays.... certain that you will happen the best in Mexico......ciao.

Cabo San Lucas is wonderful!

the beaches are great and not crowed at all. tons of night life and sight seeing

If you want a fun party destination, go to Cancun.  There are bars and clubs pretty much open all night long there.  If you want something a little quieter, try Cozumel.  Both places have really nice beaches.

I hated Cancun, but lots of people love it. I hear great things about Cabo and Cozumel. I think the vacation site that you would like best is party based upon what you want to do and what kind of people you want to be around. If you go to tripadvisor.com you can search and get comments. What works for my mother (79) would probably not work for you!

PS No matter where you go, ask your doctor for some Cipro in case you get diarrhea.
