I have never been there so i just want to know if i should bring anything there for my convenience? i will be going in the summer - maybe the mid week of july. What kind of clothing? What kind of tools? Anything you would suggest that you brought that helped you out when you were there? Or anything else??

  1. 90% light weight clothing.  (generaly hot, all out at this time).

Must, must, have at least one set of dressy clothing.

An English-French dictionary would come handy, but not needed.

If you can, your roller blades, and bike (if those are your kind of things to do)

An abundance of appetite to have fun.

  2. Well, Montreal does get hot in the summer, so bring shhorts and a t-shirt. From my experience, it rains a lot in Montreal. so defenenitly bring rain  gear. I don't exactaly know what you mean by tools..... But bring a french-english dictionary, and try to learn some french! Always great people with Bonjour.

  3. Ummm...prophylactics?

  4. The weather is quite typical of the upper-Midwest U.S. region.  It is rare to have temperature extremes.

There isn't really anything special you would need to bring.  Montreal has all of the 'convenience' stores you would need including Wal-Mart, Zellers and Canadian Tire should you need something.  My biggest suggestion is a very small pocket guide with basic French words.  It will help you to read signs.
