Hardrock and Planet Hollywood are boring and dumb ideas.

Virgil's BBQ is MUCH better than Dallas BBQ.

Ruby Foos for asian fusion.  How about Paesanos in Little Italy?  I would check out Todai for Sushi and Japanesse.  Churrascaria Plataforma for brazillian.  Tortilla Flats for mexican.  Man their are tons of places.

CARMINE'S IN NYC IS PRETTY GOOD ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A GROUP OF PEOPLE GOING.  THEY SERVE FAMILY STYLE PLATES AND THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS!
