I want to know what kind of clothing I should pack, we'll be mostly taking tours and at least one of the nights we are going to a very fancy restaurant.

  1. Historically, the average high temperature in Paris is August has only been 76 degrees F which, as a Texan, seems quite temperate.

In the last few years they have had some very hot days in August and, because their use of air conditioning is far less than in the USA, this has caused some serious problems (as in hundreds of people dying of heat stroke).

So you should be prepared for high temperatures but also ready to deal with cool nights.

I believe that people worry too much about how to dress while on vacation. While I urge you to avoid the loud and the garish and stick to basic black the number one thing should be your comfort.

  2. Generally speaking wear what you would wear here in the states.  Bring a sweater in case you get cold in the evenings. DO NOT wear shorts though. In the evening a simple solid coloured dress is appropriate. Nothing garish like hooker red or neon pink.

  3. Well, these last few years we have had very weird summers. Like right now it is cold and gray... but it could changed and be warm!!! I would suggest spring clothes, with few tank tops, ... and for the very fancy restaurant a black dress is always class and s**y!!!
