I am going to Prague.. what is a good place to stay in a hotel?

Question

I will be coming in via train from Italy.

I am an American spending time in Italy, and going to Prague for 4 days or so to party.

The hotels look very cheap, what is the best area I should stay in so I can enjoy the nightlife?

What are the best places to go at night?

I really want to make sure I go to the right places, etc....

Any tips on Prague appreciated!!

I suggest you stay around St Wenceslas Square, that area is near to everything.

I went on a touristy break with parents and I recomend walking over the charles bridge upto the castle and looking around there, I didnt party much so Im unsure what to reccomend.

My fella went on a party mission to Prague and he told me all of the pubs and clubs were off Wenceslas Square - I thinksthats were some of the strip places are, but if you stay near that square then In guarantee you will ne near to everyting you need.

You can book a hotel on Wenzeslav square or Staromestska square. ( But I would not recommend hotel Rott 5* on Staromestska).  This place is close to night activity points. I have been in Karlovy Lazne near Charles Bridge. It is a big 5 floors night club. There is Duplex club in the middle of Wenzeslav square. I also found cozy Bombay club.  You will find a lot of pubs and restaurants everywhere. All the places was safe enough.

Intercontinental hotel is situated next to Vltava river.

When I had been to Prague I was in "Karlovy Lazne" (on Charles Bridge). It's the worst night club I've even seen.

Good place for drinking beer is Pivovarsky Dum where you can order such beer as the banana beer, coffee beer, sour cherry beer, nettle beer etc. Really cool place!
