I am a single black female traveling to Puerto Rico in April. I need advice on where to stay, eat, sight see etc. Any feedback would be appreciated..thanks...

No issue with skin color, s*x or marital status with where to stay or eat.  Any hotel or restaurant here will welcome you.  Same with places to visit.  Check hotels in the Isla Verde or Condado areas, basically is your budget and preferences what will decide where to stay.

Well you don't have to worry about being a black female, you'll blend in with the society.  When I visited there I went to the capital, and we also went to the beaches.  It was a wonderful place.  Its great learning about their culture, and you'll find out a lot of things about Puerto Rico that you didn't know before.

are You renting a Car? if  Not  Old San Juan or the Condado area is your best bet.It's a Tourist area, taxi have a flat rate to most  Tourist places.

What to see?

The main attractions of Puerto Rico are:

Castillo San Felipe del Morro

Balneario de Luquillo "Beach of Luquillo"

El Yunque National Rain Forest

Caverns of Camuy

Flamenco Beach in Culebra

Where to stay?

It all depends on your budget and what you want to do.

If your budget is high I recommend El Conquistador Hotel.

Also you can try Culebra "a small Island at the side of Puerto Rico".

Where to eat?

No problem here, in Puerto Rico the food is good in every place.

If you are not into beach front properties then I would highly recommend the Old San Juan area. Your second choice, if beach front property is a priority, then Isla Verde would be your second choice. You will be approximately 8 minutes away from Old San Juan, or 8 minute drive. But I can assure you that you will have fun at either location.
