I am going to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic on 1st May - what is the weather like in May? Rain? Storms?

So far, on weather reports, the weather does not look that great! I am getting depressed at the thought of not having any sunshine - can anyone reassure me?

Punta Cana, no the weather is OK dear, some rain (10 to 20min) and Sun again, Nothing to spoil your vacation in this hotel strip location.
