  2. let's go! i am brazilian, so it is easy!

    1. Lapa

    2. Beaches in Angra

    3. Pedra da Gávea

    4. Copacabana beach

    5. Terra Encantada (barra da tijuca)

    6. Petrópolis

    7. Cristo Redentor (Corcovado)

    8. Pão de Açúcar

    9. Marina da Glória

    10. Forte de Copacabana

  3. NUDE BEACHES

  4. Don't go wandering alone at night, stick to the main drag. Get taxis to go wherever. An airline steward wandered away from the hotel to go sightseeing, he was found lying on a beach 3 days later with one of his KIDNEYS removed, and all his credit cards gone.. He was lucky that the operation was well done otherwise he might have died..

  5. You have to visit Corcovado and Pão de Aúcar (Sugar Loaf)

I also suggest that you also visit Petropolis, a city near Rio de Janeiro, in which there are a great museum.

Our beaches are beautiful, but finding a nude beach is not so common as it seems to be.

I copied this answer for another question that might help you:

I would not stay in Copacabana.

Yes the beach is great, but at night times it can become dangerous, and there are many prostitutes in the area.If you want to be near Copa, I suggest you stay in Leme.

The beach is an extention of Copacabana, it's an area with less tourists , the beach is less crowded and there some good restaurants, plus you can walk to Copacabana Palace, a famous Hotel for a drink in the evening.

Ipanema is a nice area , safer than Copacabana , with many boutiques and bars etc .It's also next to Leblon, which has several great restaurants.

With a car , you could stay in an Hotel at Santa Teresa , , it's cooler and some places have great views of the city. The houses are turn of the century. If walking some streets can be dangerous.

Also at night time you are not far from Lapa, where the real night life goes, many bars and great music.

    In Leme : Leme Palace

In Ipanema , "Ipanema Inn" Rooms prices are negotiable, the staff are friendly.

The highways entering Rio are safe, they can be busy.

In Rio just be careful at night time at traffic lights and many drivers don't stop for security reasons.

Xenon, did you every see the film :"Dirty Pretty Things."

The film takes place in London, and it's about a Doctor who

removes peoples Kidneys for profit.I don't think Rio has the monoply on crime.

Its an old Colonial port protected by Unesco.

9.You must eat Feijoda Completa , Brazil's national dish , it's always served Saturday lunch time in many Restaurants.

I would try , Cesar Palace in Ipanema

10.I would go shopping in Ipanema

    11. I would cross the Harbour and visit , Nitteroi, Contemporary Museum. Why? the architecture is fanastic, and you have a great view of Rio.
