  1. hi there

came to china 5 months ago from new zealand have had no shots of any kind eaten food from some of the dirtiest looking places you have ever seen (but great food) have been to the country side and still the worse sickness i have got is a common cold , come and enjoy the life, also i had a 3 month visa first and have been able to extend it, if you like teaching very easy to find jobs aswell who will change your visa to a work permit

  2. You need a visa, and a passport, no shots.

You are not going to a third world country over run by disease.

Shanghai is a modern city, just don't drink the water anywhere in China.

  3. Should have asked when and where you applied for the visa. Contact the Chinese consulate office where you applied for the visa!

  4. Buy your round trip plane ticket FIRST. Go to your country's Chinese embassy for your VISA. Apply for your visa two weeks before the date you planned to fly to Shanghai.

You are going to a modern city with skyscrapers everywhere and you think you need vaccinations...LOL.

  5. If you want to be on the safe side make sure your tetanus shot is current, and you might want the 30 day hepatitis shot.

Just drink bottled water and don't buy dodgey food from street vendors.
