Keep in mind, we don't want to go too far to take a whole day to travel. Also, does anyone have suggestions on places not to miss in or around Sydney? I'll be there at the end of May.

Thanks!

  1. Ferry to Taronga Zoo,Shop Darling Harbour, Walk the top of the Harbour Bridge,Hydrofoil to Manly to shop ,see the beach and good pubs,Night do the Rocks area which is at Circular Quay offside to the Sydney Opera House or Chinatown go by the Monorail. When you arrive go to the Tourist Information Centre who will have lots of brochures,This is situated at Circular Quay Railway Station just near the Opera House.Weather is cool at night and with luck warm days as we are in Autumn. Have a great stay and welcome to Aussie.

  2. Sydney is situated on one of the most beautiful harbours in the world and you could easily spend two days just riding around on its many ferries. Take one to Manly and walk down to one of Australia's famous surf beaches (it will be too cold to swim at the end of May). You can also go by ferry to Taronga Zoo where you will see our unique wildlife. Special zoo tours are available on which you can feed kangaroos and koalas.

You can also go up market and take one of the many privately run harbour cruises if you're not inclined to travel on commuter ferries.

http://www.sydney.com.au has heaps of ideas for day trips.

    Enjoy your stay.

  3. Don't forget to see the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge, absolutely beautiful.
