  1. About 2 weeks ago, I know that a meeting at York was abandoned due to the race-track being so badly flooded.

It is Friday 13th too so who knows what may happen! hee hee

Their telephone number is 01904 620 911 so I would give them a call before leaving, or check the webpage (link below)

  2. I dont think so.

  3. The flooding is not the problem - there was a fire on 5/7 in the main stand - however the current news is that this will not affect the John Smiths meet on 13/14 July.  The racecourse website (www.yorkracecourse.co.uk) will have details.

  4. No it hasn't flooded but I do believe they had a fire at the racecourse yesterday, I don't know how it will affect the racing

  5. The weather is set fair. It is a week away. Go and enjoy yourself! But beware the form returning to good going from Bl##dy awful.

  6. I think South Yorkshire, and the coastal areas (e.g Hull) have taken much of the brunt.  I think York (although very wet like everywhere else) should be ok.  I'd check Sky Sports News or Teletex  before you set off though.

    Have a good day.............be lucky!!
