I'm going this Saturday (July 26th) I was wondering if I catch the mets during BP, will I be able to get autographs? More importantly I was hoping if anyone knows if David Wright has been known to give out a few autographs because I have a Wright jersey and was wondering if he would sign my jersey.

  1. i went to the july 24th game and i was there 2 1/2 hours early... no one signed autographes behind the dugout or anything.. idk if it was because they didnt take bp that day due to rain.. but either way they didnt even look at the crowd and aknowledge they were there screaming over the dugout.. your best bet is to wait outside after the game... thats where i met reyes, maine, and schneider thursday

  2. Most stadiums do not even let you in the park until 1 hour before game time.  So going 2 1/2 hours early really won't accomplish much.

When the gates do open, the Mets batting practice will be over, the home team always goes first.  So you'll only catch the last 30 minutes of the visiting teams BP.

  3. Some of the Mets do, but you won't be the only one there, fans will be begging for autographs. David Wright does sign stuff but, it is not a guarantee he will sign it. You will at least get some autographs, I think so. Bring a hat too so some players can sign it too.

  4. Look up stadium policy on www.nymets.com, or call Shea directly.  It was easy to get autographs when I was a kid, but security is getting totally out of hand everywhere nowadays.
