I am going to a comunity college.How many credit hours do i need b4 i can transfer to

Im going to a local community college. I didnt have a 3.5 out of highschool, so my new plan is to go to community college for a year, then try and get into Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I am not sure how many credit hours i need before i can transfer. Thanks for any help.

  1. Most people take their general ed classes at a Community College, which can be between one and two years. You should talk to a counselor from Cal Poly San Luis obispo and ask them which classes (that you will be taking at the Community College) would transfer over and which ones wouldn't. As the previous person said, it really does sux to have to take and pay for the same classes.

Most of the time you can transfer at any time but also most colleges will only take certain credits from your previous school becasue they may not offer the same classes.  The sooner you can afford to transfer the better because otherwise you will just have to retake the same classes again but with different names of
