  1. Yes, that question was bound to bring out the geniuses from Newcastle.

The Seaburn Hotel is pretty decent and arguably the best one in the city. L.S. Lowry stayed there incidentally.

I haven't heard brilliant things about the Roker Hotel to be honest, but I'm sure it's pretty decent.

There is a hotel next to the Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens that has recently been refurbished. Mowbray Park Hotel is it?

There is also a Travelodge bang in the centre right next to Sunderland Minster and opposite the Empire Theatre.

The Travel lodge, its just above the whetherspoons pub and is in the town centre.

I go to uni in Sunderland and this is probably the best place to stay.

  3. Yep, find one in Newcastle.....

Honestly, I wasn't trying to be a time-waster, I have been to Sunderland, and when you go, you will appreciate my answer more....

  4. Never heard of "Sunderland", so, NO...!? :)
