I am going to an amusement park Friday?

I am going to Kennywood in West Mifflin, PA and I am a little freaked out about riding a roller coaster after seeing Final Destination 3. How can I calm myself down and have fun?

it was a movie ok just have fun dont think about it it wont happen i just when to 1 a week ago and i have the movie

Its only a movie!! Think about the amount of safety checks these rides go through before they get approved?? And whats the last fatal accident on a rollercoaster?? Dw you'll be fine!! And unless you have a vision of the ride crashing b4 hand im sure nothing bad will happen to you...

Remind yourself of this: It is only a MOVIE. Many of the scenes in the movie are impossible in real life. In a way this is a good thing, because you are are able to remind yourself that is only a film with some fancy computer generated images and nothing more.

All of the rides are inspected in detail and test runs are dispatched before the park opens to the public. There are safety systems to ensure rider safety throughout the ride. Upstop and guide wheels (wheels under and on the side of the track) to keep the train secured to the track at all times. Therefore a train cannot derail as seen in Final Destination 3. Blocking systems prevent collisions by monitoring where a train is located on the ride at all times. This system makes it impossible for two trains to be in the same block, or area of track, at one time. Operators also receive extensive training on safety procedures and protocols.

During the off-season rides and ride vehicles undergo extensive prevenative maintenance. That is one of the many reasons many parks close during the winter. The winter off-season may offer great deals on travel, but year-round parks may close rides throughout the off-season for maintenance.

ok i know wat u feel same experience before i got over it im was only 9 when i watched it now im 10 just remember its just a movie pray to god.he will help u and keep u safe.remember to buckle up!hoped i helped=DALso show ur feelings and u can cry..but scream!!!at the top of ur lungs and ull get over with..

They say that driving to the amusement park is more dangerous then riding the rides, that your more likely to get in an accident driving there then being injured on a ride.

just think everytime you get on. wow. i just had to wait in line. you know what that means. everyones gone on this roller caoster. this roller coasters been ridden millions of times and nothing. ever. happens.

besides thats just a movie. heck i live for roller caosters

Try not to think about the movie, don't even say the name, and if you do just say "It was only a movie and it would actually NEVER happen in real life."  And just have fun!

Its likely that wont happen

I think they check all coasters in the morning to make sure that wont happen just have fun its like saying a airplane will crash

and chances are small final destination is bogus again have fun i wish i was going on a roller coaster you will get over it after you ride a couple rides :D

Trust me once you get on the ride You'll be glad you did. I love big rides. I want to go to Cedar point soooo bad. I've been to Michigan's Adventure so many times now that I find their rides rather boring. I haven't gotten the chance to ride the new one there though, Thounder Hawk. Was closed down that day = (. Chances of a freak accident happining are pretty slim. Don't worry just have fun!

Its just a movie, dont worry. It wouldnt happen anyway. They check the rides anyway and you have a better chance of getting struck by lightning then anything happening to you on the roller coaster. Just relax and have fun ! :]
