  1. No idea what the person above me is talking about with work permission form...

Summer's almost over! Do NOT tell them you want a summer job. If you had started very beginning of summer (late May) then you would say the job is "SEASONAL" which is like temporary and they expect you to leave when summer is over. You quit. More like "bye I need to go to school now". Or you could just change your job schedule!

You will not get automatically re-hired. You do have a good chance, since you will have experience at that store.

Depending on your age, they'll most likely guess that it is for summer

  2. If you are under 18, you need to pick up a work permission form from your high school office. Take that form with you to the place where you apply for summer job. They will fill that out, than you take that form back to your high school office, they sign it than take the form back again to your work. You are ready to go then.

Whether you stop working at the end of the summer it depends on your contract with your employer.

I am working in a supermarket (just started over this summer) and I am planning to work there (reduced hours)even after school starts.

You don't get fired unless you do something to justify it, like stealing, or beating up you boss.
