  1. It depends on what your auditioning for.  You will most likely need a copy of your resume unless its a school play.  You'll need a monologue that will take you no longer than two minutes to perform unless the casting directors asked for a shorter one.  You can find many monologues here at http://notmyshoes.net/monologues/ .

  2. were are you going i have been trying to be an actreess so long any tip's please help me

  3. Audition for what exactly? Are you going to an open casting call, or to an acting agency?

If it's an open casting call, you'll probably be hanging out with a bunch of people in a line or waiting room, they'll call you in, you'll get your picture taken, you'll give them you're contact info, then they'll either interview you, or have you cold read a script or sometimes make you do something silly pertaining to the screenplay.

    Edit: Acting Agency, ok.

There are many different types of agents for different types of talent. The main types are theatrical (Television and Film) and commercial (for commercials). There are also dance, print, voice-over,etc. Your agent may represent you for one or more of these.

Agents get information about auditions for roles, either directly from casting directors and producers or from an insiders-only fax service called "the breakdowns." The breakdowns is a daily faxed list of roles being cast, and they are available only to agents and managers.

For each role, a casting directors will receive hundreds to thousands of resumes and headshots, from which they will narrow the field to the amount that they have the time and/or need to audition. There are so many actors vying for so few roles that talent agents act as the first step in the weeding-out process. In this field, where the supply so greatly exceeds the demand, just getting an audition is quite an accomplishment. And to get the audition, you need an agent.

The Agency will have your photo and profile and record. You'll probably have to cold read a script, or act out a scene, so they can get the feel for your type of style. Then if they like you, you get on the 'roster'. You're put into their files and are on the line-up. When they get notice of a casting, say New Movie ABC is looking for a 5'2-5'6, caucasian brunette. The Agency sorts through they're clients, picks the ones that match, and send their profiles to the casting directors, who then decide if they like anyone, and bring the last few choices in for evaluation. If you get a role, great job!!! :D  It'll probably be a few weeks of filming depending if you land a major or minor role. The pay off will be pretty good, but remember the agency gets a chunk of whatever you make.

Sorta like a pimp pimpin' out his girls.

    LOL
