You will need to go through the shared accomodation listings on various real estate websites. The Holmes Institute is on the edge of the CBD, but is easily accessible via Melbourne's very good public transport system. Parliament train station is a little over a block away and the tram is even closer, so any of the near city suburbs should be suitable as they're all serviced by tram, train or both.
