How is the weather like around that time? Is it too cold to wear a tank or light t-shirt during the day?

Its summer in Paris  in august -sept. You can wear a light shirt.  Just be sure its comfortable bec you gonna do a lot of walking. Walk walk to the city of love!  Its wonderful out there!

You should expect daytime temperatures to be in the mid to low 70's with night time temperatures getting as low as the low 50's.  The temperature tomorrow (to give you some idea) will be a high of 71 degrees and a low of 57. Obviously it will be a bit cooler in a few weeks.

Traditionally, Paris weather is around 60° F at night and in the low seventies during the day in September, but recent years have been increasingly hot, so be prepared for much hotter weather (cooler weather is a possibility but far less common than heat waves).  In general, it's a nice time of year.

The weather this year has been mostly seasonal, so it's reasonable to suppose that it will still be so when you visit.
