  1. Try and borrow a tri band or quad band phone from someone. You can then either get global roaming enabled, which will make calls really expensive or you could buy a Vodafone prepaid sim, the sim is $2 and you can recharge with as little as $20 credit.

  2. Contact a mobile phone shop they should be able to help you.

  3. We have always been able to arrange for our mobile to be transferred to the Country we are visiting. Check with your provider first to see if it can be arranged. Otherwise you will need to purchase a phone on a prepay here which could be uneconimical for just one week.

  4. When you arrive in Australia (from overseas I assume) there is a Vodafone counter in the arrivals hall, and I believe they rent handsets, and sell sim cards

  5. Or you can go out to buy a cheap phone for emergency uses and once you arrive here buy prepaid simcards.  Or just try to get your mobile provider to organise something so that you are still able to use your overseas - I think it only applies to certain providers.

  6. you're only here for a week- do without!

we have public phones you can use.

  7. wow, autralias pretty sweet just see if they have any phone shops? idk
