I am going to be visiting the bronx zoo soon and i would like some suggestions on a nearby restaurant to try?

If you want Italian food then go to Arthur Avenue - Dominick's and Rigaletto's are the best.  Or, if you want seafood then go to City Island.

agree with above answers for italian...city island isn't bad either for seafood and it has a totally different atmosphere.

even better...go to one area for lunch and the other dinner!

The Belmont section is close to the Bronx Zoo -great Italian bakeries, pizza places and restaurants.
